Join WLOS

Membership for WLOS costs £40 per year. There are two types of membership, performing and non-performing. Performing members are required to complete and audition and will usually need to pay an additional ‘Show Levy’ for those shows in which they participate.

We're always looking for new talent, on stage or off.  There are lots of roles to fill – backstage, front of house, arranging publicity or social events.  Previous experience is not necessary, but enthusiasm and commitment are!

We perform two shows a year – usually May/June time and October.  As soon as we finish one, we start rehearsing for the next one. Our performances are held at the John McIntosh Arts Centre at the London Oratory School in Fulham, Wimbledon Village Hall and occasionally the New Wimbledon Theatre.

Rehearsals are held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 7.45pm to 10.00pm and Sunday evenings for the final month before each production All rehearsals take place at Wimbledon Village Hall, Lingfield Road.

The costs of achieving the high standards we strive for continue to increase year on year. Box Office income and cast fees no longer cover the expense of producing a fully staged musical and we rely on the generosity of our friends and supporters to help us continue to put on great shows.

You can support WLOS, join in our social activities and even get access to pre-sale Friends ticket rates to our productions, by becoming a WLOS Friend, of which there are two levels.

Silver Friend – £30/year

  • Updates via the Members & Friends newsletter 

  • Recognition in production programmes as a Silver Friend 

  • Invitation to Social events at Member prices

  • Purchase 2 tickets for Member theatre trips to West End shows, at member prices (usually at 40-50% off face value)

  • One free glass of house wine or soft drink per show when the WLOS bar is open

  • One free show ticket to the WLOS Cabaret (excluding Food) 

 

Gold Friend – £50/year

  • All the benefits of Silver Friend plus:

  • Recognition in production programmes as a Gold Friend 

  • One free programme per show

  • Two tickets for a main show (excluding New Wimbledon Theatre shows) at a 25% discount

  • Pre-sales Friends access to tickets for our other productions, with a 10% discount (excluding New Wimbledon Theatre shows)
